I am tired of waiting for the South and the Midwest to finally "grow up". They have been stupid and primitive for seven generations. These days they are actually proud of their ignorant behavior, thumping their collective chests as they discriminate against poor and minorities. I have decided that I am finally kicking the dust from my sandals.
While it might take me a year to get things arranged, I can't continue living in a country that wages preemptive wars based upon baldfaced lies as a cornerstone of foreign policy.
-- UPDATE from 2007... Well, I am stuck in the state of Kansas. It turns out that my family feels that their roots here override my needs to follow my conscience. It turned out that I will stay. I must admit that I feel a large amount of envy for those folks that, unlike me, are able to easily relocate to places like Vancouver... But, I also feel a sense of honor towards family and commitments. So, I will remain here in Kansas at least for the short term.
